Oh dear, sorry! Don't read it if it makes you uncomfortable...according to my family and friends, I have very strange tastes when it comes to the level of grittiness I can stomach. I mean, I read graphic autobiographical accounts of survivors of the most horrific abuse because I think it's interesting to explore the ways humans find of overcoming trauma and to learn more in general about the nastier sides of life. I once took my friends to see a film about illegal sex trafficking in Australia...following the lives of these three girls who were kidnapped and forced into prostitution. I thought it was a fantastic movie - they vowed never to let me pick a movie again.
Ahem, sorry about rambling so much. Point is, I sometimes don't realise how uncomfortable I make people until they're running screaming from the room. And I don't want that to happen to you. I don't want to go too far with the abuse aspect because I DO want to keep it somewhat plausible within canon, but yeah.
