Situations

Title: Situations
Rating: R-ish?
Pairing: Susan/Caspian
Warnings: Er, sex. That's pretty much all that happens, folks.

Summary: "From the outside the situation probably looked slightly absurd, to say nothing of awkward. But she could never remember ever feeling more comfortable."

Note: Seems I am an incurable cheat. This simultaneously fulfils two requests and at the same time doesn't fill either since it obviously isn't a drabble. Hopefully you'll forgive me...anyway, this is for [livejournal.com profile] pantherwilliam who wanted "some more Caspian/ Susan... a nice "R" rating would be nice, something to totally take it out of the "Children's Christian Fantasy" genre", and [livejournal.com profile] xphoenixrising who asked for "Susan/Caspian - fluff/smut or something just kinna "eeee! S/C!" Any rating".

My journal is a mess right now.

I'm sick of the way it's been looking, so I'm doing a massive overhaul. Problem? I don't have time to do it all at once. So at the moment, it's a strange coffee colour and nothing is making sense. I'm on holidays tomorrow, so I have the whole day to fuck with it if I so choose.

Also, to everyone on my flist - I love you guys. I know I've been AWOL lately. I haven't forgotten anyone, I just don't have much free time anymore. I've got tons of stuff I want to do, I just haven't found time yet. But I will very soon.

And finally...HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] ladylapislazuli !!!! For yesterday, that is. My darling sister is finally the big one-five *tear*. And yeah, Hannah, you do get an LJ shout-out as well as the typical irl well-wishes. Because I'm just that bored and you're just that special.

Step 1: Put your iPod player on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 32 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

1. Hold on to me my love, you know I can't stay long

2. In a deep breath it all starts to change

3. I wear myself too thin

4. And don't tell me, I'm afraid of waking up alone

5. I hope this song can tell you how I feel tonight

6. Goddamn your righteous hand

7. Just keep coughing, smoke another cigarette

8. Oh no, don't go changing

9. Oh, oh your city lies in dust

10. You had plenty money 1922

11. Dear friends of this academy

12. I've got another confession to make

13. Yeah, this is not natural

15. California, that's where I saw her

16. I saw your face, elegant and tired

17. Far beyond the reach of prediction lies a promise of a break in the code

18. You take my breath away, but I'll never taste your lips

19. Any day now you'll call me up on the phone

20. Trade your demise for mine

21. Naked in midwinter magic lies an angel in the snow

22. Is there anybody out there that wakes up with a bitter taste?

xxlucyferxx: (raven)

Once upon a time, I know that

We will be together,

Come yesterday, you’ll take my hand

And show me things I never thought I’d seen.

It all makes sense, I swear,

If you would only take my hand.

Come yesterday, we’ll know what’s going on.

And if we fall together,

Fall into the past

With everything we always think we’ll leave behind,

One day, some day, we’ll find out we’re alive.

I’m just as lonely as I’m independent

Please just close your eyes and let me feel you there beside me

As I disappear tonight.

Do you find me charming?

Do you think I’m worth your time?

And as you hold your breath will you be dreaming of that future time

We walked away from self-restraint?

We lost ourselves in gorgeous lies.

I broke, you knelt down by my grave

And showered the bones of my fingers with kisses tonight.

The rhythm probably doesn't make a lot of sense, I know. It's more of a lyric than a poem, in truth. But oh well.

Title: And So Sanity Got Up And Left
Rating: PG
Pairing: Caspian/Edmund
Dedication: To my beautiful sister [livejournal.com profile] ladylapislazuli  - I was going to make this fluffy for you, but you know what I'm like. I just can't help myself.

Notes: This one's for prompt #11 - 'What if we fell in love?' at [livejournal.com profile] 100foraslan . I'm probably embarrassing myself, since I wrote it just this morning and it's more or less unedited, but I can't be bothered with my usual perfectionism today.

Ok, time for me to confess...I'm a closet photoshop dabbler. Not a very talented one, but I've recently been making some forays into icon-making. Thought I'd put them up to see what people think.

I wrote this for my final Creative Writing exam. I'm posting it exactly as I submitted it, totally unedited and unpolished. We were given a picture of a woman holding a child's hand by the seaside, and we had to write a 2-3 page creative response on it. I got 91.5 on it.

Title: A Matter Of Hygiene
Rating: PG
Summary: Eustace has discovered one of the cruder facets of life at sea...and he isn't happy.

Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] ineptshieldmaid . She wanted 'Eustace. Anything Eustace, thanks.' And I confess, I've cheated. This is not a drabble - it's a fully-fledged story. *hides* It just wrote itself that way...

Well, it's...interesting. I can say that much for it.

I think that from a social acceptance point of view, it would have been far easier if I was a boy. My behaviour, when I was a child, only shocked everyone so much because I was a girl - I've seen people just smile benevolently and shake their heads when little boys exhibit the same behaviours that got me into so much trouble. "Oh, boys will be boys." But little girls are supposed to be calm and placid. And little girls aren't as tolerant of rough play as little boys are.

I twitch around a lot, I often have trouble getting to sleep because I just feel too energetic, and if I'm not particularly interested in something then I just can't concentrate. Period.

I don't have clinical ADHD, mind. I'm in what they call the 'syndrome mix'.

By the way, nice question

Or anyone else who just happens to be a history buff. Although I don't think I have any others on my flist.

I really need some vampire mythology that Dr. Cornelius could feasibly have unearthed at some point during one of his magical escapades. I'm working on this section in Sanguinis Vinculum where he's been going through some ancient books he has about vampires, incubi/succubi, etc. I won't explain the whole scene here, but I really want to be able to quote a relevant passage or two from these books.

Problem: my knowledge of vampire mythology is fantastic when it comes to the 19th century, but that's far too modern for a Narnian setting. I need something that sounds as if it could have been written in a medieval book of the occult, or something along those lines. I tried to write my own passage, but I really don't know enough medieval literature to pull off that sort of thing. So basically, if you can give me a positive answer to one of the following three questions, I will love you forever:

a) Do you have access to any suitably ancient writings about the vampire, which I could use as a reference point and/or quote in my writing?

OR

b) Do you have any skill at all in writing in a way that might sound appropriate to the sort of literature PC-era Narnians/Telmarines might have had access to, and would you be at all willing to sacrifice a bit of time to help me construct something that won't sound completely embarrassing?

OR

c) Do you know a person who COULD help me with either of the above, and could you direct me to them?

Cheap coffee, cheaper gifts and meaningless devotions.

We needed to believe that you and I were meant to be,

The stars shone bright above us as we stared up at the sky

And said: “you’re everything to me.”

Once upon a time you got me through the nights

I felt like I could die.

We cried together, bled together, fell apart.

Melodrama, with nothing to live for but the vague idea

That life was still romantic – and we tried to make it right.

Now it’s over. Tell me, was it ever really there?

My salvation, my destruction, all wrapped up in red and white.

Each day I die a bit inside – don’t worry,

I'm ok.

xxlucyferxx: (raven)
Ok, so this was originally a Harry Potter fanfiction, a sort of Dark!Harry affair, but I edited it and turned it into an original piece, and I think I like it better this way.

Warnings: Non-consensual sex, violence, substance abuse, mental disorders.

xxlucyferxx: (swing)
Figuratively speaking we were meant to be -
Meant to be apart.
I separate myself from all the memories I treasure.
And even though you say you'll always be there
Waiting for the day I turn by back, I won't forget
The games you played, the things you said.
I really don't believe that I can change,
And nothing fills this hole.
So sinking further into quicksand shadows,
Let us dance together,
Spin around and watch their hearts break
As the sweat makes our skin glow.
Die a little bit inside,
And let the silence wash away the sun.
